Our Story
Born from 20+ years of firsthand experience on the job site. A problem no one had solved.
A Problem Seen Every Day
For over 20 years, our co-founder worked in the industrial construction industry. Job site after job site, he encountered the same hazard: exposed threaded rods used in MEP installations (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) suspended overhead throughout the ceiling. In these environments, workers on ladders and scissor lifts are constantly moving up into areas dense with all-thread rod. The head, face, shoulders, neck, arms, and hands are all exposed as workers perform tasks at ceiling level. The risk of accidental contact is constant, the threads are sharp, and the injuries are preventable.
The industry's answer to this problem? A piece of caution tape tied to the end of the rod. It offers visibility, but no real protection. If a worker makes contact, there is nothing between skin and a sharp threaded edge.
Building a Real Solution
Frustrated by the lack of innovation, our co-founder set out to design something better. Not just a warning. A real physical barrier. The result is the MagGuard®, a magnetic threaded rod safety guard built for industrial and commercial construction.
MagGuard®attaches magnetically. No tools, no tape. It features a rounded edge to deflect accidental contact and a high-visibility tag that hangs down to alert workers to the rod's presence. Awareness and actual protection, together.
The product went through extensive design iterations and real-world testing before we were satisfied it could perform in the demanding conditions of an active construction site. That front-line experience is built into every MagGuard®.
Who We Are
ProStrux® LLC was founded in 2024 by two brothers in Charleston, South Carolina. One with over 20 years in industrial construction, the other in business and operations. Together, we bring the product knowledge and field credibility needed to get MagGuard® onto job sites across the country.
Our manufacturing facility is located in Hurlock, Maryland, where every MagGuard® is produced in the United States. We believe in building American-made products that protect American workers.
The only solution was caution tape. Workers deserved something better, so we built it.
