Installation Guide

Follow these steps carefully before and during installation of the MagGuard®.

Installation Steps

    Before using the MagGuard, conduct a thorough inspection. Check for any damage to the cap; if you notice any deformities or damage, please dispose of the cap, as using a damaged one could lead to serious injury.

    Inspect the internal magnet collar for metal shavings, concrete dust, or debris. Debris coating the magnet can reduce retention force. Clean with a dry cloth before installing. After installing, confirm the cap holds securely in the vertical position without manual support before leaving the area.

    Verify that you are using the correct size MagGuard protective cap for your specific threaded rod size before installation.

    Verify the threaded rod meets the minimum required threaded rod length of 1.25".

  5. 5

    Attach optional hazard warning flag at the designated attachment point.

  6. 6

    Firmly place the MagGuard onto the end of the exposed threaded rod and apply pressure until the internal magnet makes contact with the rod end.

  7. 7

    To ensure a secure attachment, the MagGuard must be vertically centered on the end of the protruding threaded rod.
